Jack & Adams' Bicycles is the epicenter for triathletes in Austin. I first walked into the store 4 years ago, and Jack helped me figure out the right tri-bike for me over the course of several weeks and countless test rides. The team at Jack & Adams is always incredibly helpful - Jack, James, Angie, Drew, Zane and entire team love triathletes and make the sport fun.

T3 is the main reason I have faith that I can finish in November. The program, facilities, and coaches at T3 are incredible. Personal training like this would normally run five to ten times what T3 charges. My success in my first half-Ironman was 100% due to the instruction of the coaches, and following the training plan they had set out for me. Over 20 of my T3 teammates will be there in Arizona racing with me! I can't thank Maurice and the entire T3 gang enough.

Xterra Wetsuits The first time I swam in my Xterra wetsuit, I thought I had become superhuman. I have a Vortex 3 Fullsuit, since I'll be swimming in water that should be below 70 degrees in November. And it's perfect for Barton Springs Pool in Austin. In my most recent Olympic triathlon, I dropped a full 30 seconds per 100 meters from the previous year's pace (when I was not wearing a wetsuit). Xterra Wetsuits is very supportive of their customers, and the team there is always willing to help.

The Texas Organ Sharing Alliance, or "TOSA", is one of three Organ Procurement Organizations in Texas. TOSA helps promote awareness around the need for organ donation. TOSA serves the Austin and San Antonio regions, and is the organization that first taught me how I could give back to help others who were waiting for a transplant. TOSA also works directly with families who are dealing with the death of a loved one and the difficult but incredibly fulfilling process of giving the gift of life.

Donate Life Texas is the slogan for the Glenda Dawson Donate Life - Texas Registry. Every state now has their own registry that you can find at www.donatelife.net The registry is the best way to make your wishes known in as little as two minutes, and that two minutes could save up to 8 lives. Your wishes are now legally binding in Texas thanks to recent efforts by the Texas legislature. If you've already registered on the website, talk to your family, your friends, and your colleagues and make sure they are, too!

Transplants for Children is the fundraising recipient for my Ironman, and they are also providing a great deal of help, encouragement, coordination, and promotion of my quest to be a "Transplant Ironman." The TFC kids have been inspirational beyond belief and serve as a great motivator to keep going when I'm on the second mile of a swim, or it's over 80 degrees and I just want to go somewhere cool and take a nap.
